Visit to GML Aquatics Pte Ltd (Arowana Farm in Singapore)

    Hi all members,

Recently, I had visited an arowana farm in Singapore. The farm name is GML Aquatics Pte Ltd. It is located at No. 19 Lim Chu Kang Lane 9A Singapore 718878. The owner of this farm is Mr. Lee Siew Thong, Leonard. The sales manager is Mr. Willy Peh. You can visit their website www.gmlaquatics.com. Their email addresses are [email protected] and [email protected] , contact number is (65) 6788 3533.

This farm was setup in 2005. It becames CITES certified farm in around 2007/2008. It breeds red, cross-back gold and High-Back gold arowana. There are total of 40 ponds. 18 ponds breed red arowana with 300+ brooders. They started off with 100 pieces of red arowana brooders, about 60% of them are the famous Munjul Red. Munjul Red is characterised by the red covering the whole fish scale.

Mr. Willy Peh kindly showed me around the farm.

I took some pictures and video clips to share with all of you.

No chance to take the pictures of their brooders as the water is not clear. Best is to take pictures of harvesting, and you can see the brooder clearly. This is something to be done in future if there is an opportunity.

For what I know, their farm is not open to public. I suggest you call them to check.

We can organise a farm visit to GML. Are you interested to join?
